The Behavioral Health Academy is a partnership between Community Health Network and the Indiana University School of Social Work, and we are excited to admit our first Academy cohort in the Fall of 2019. The Academy will consist of courses designed to prepare students for practice with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders and to become dually-licensed as both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC). Admitted students will join the top-ranked MSW program in the state of Indiana and simultaneously gain specialized experience at one of the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health systems in the state. Students will not only receive an exceptional social work educational experience, but will also receive additional training in evidence-based counseling approaches and a $5000 stipend while completing a two-semester practicum placement at Community Health Network during their final year in the program. They will receive a priority interview for employment at Community after they finish their MSW, with additional financial incentives provided by Community for employees who earn their LCSW and LCAC after completion of the Academy.
$5000stipend for Academy students for the two semesters
$5000 for students who are hired by Community when they earn both the LCSW and LCAC
We plan to admit a new cohort of students into the Academy every year. To qualify, you must be a current student in the MSW program at the IUPUI campus preparing to enter your final year in the program. Field liaisons will provide information about the program and the interview process for qualified students.
