SECOND GENERATION IRANIAN-AMERICANS AND OTHER IMMIGRANTS: EXPERIENCE, EXPECTATIONS, AND CHALLENGES November 2, 2012 This year's DANESH Institute conference will be held in cooperation with the Middle Eastern Studies of St. Xavier University in Chicago. The conference is to focus on the experience of second generation Iranian-Americans as well as other immigrants. As such, this conference is to explore expectations and challenges confronting this generation at home emphasizing Iranian culture and outside of home representing American culture. In addition, the conference is intended to make recommendations for dealing with issues identified. In relation to the above theme, the Conference Planning Committee invites submission of proposals for papers and roundtables. Papers include empirical or conceptual studies.
